Have you been looking for a way to rejuvenate or enhance your natural beauty? Perhaps you are seeking better results than those achieved through yet another “miracle cream” backed by outlandish claims, however, you are still not ready to commit to the cost and recovery time associated with cosmetic surgery. Whether you wish to smooth away fine lines and wrinkles, gently lift sagging brows or plump aged lips, many patients have found a happy medium with non-surgical alternatives offered at our cosmetic surgery practice. Here are a few of the most effective, non-invasive solutions.

Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing

While some laser treatments are highly invasive and require significant downtime, not all laser treatments are created equally. Fractional, non-ablative skin resurfacing is the only laser rejuvenation method which offers both excellent results and no downtime. Wrinkles, sun damage(pigmentation defects) and superficial scars are conditions treated by fractional methods.

Fractional skin treatments deliver laser light in an array of narrow, focused “microbeams” to create columns of heat within the skin. These “microbeams” penetrate deep into the dermis for the most effective, long-term results obtainable. The heated tissue within the columns starts a natural healing process that forms new, healthy tissue and, ultimately alters the collagen and elastin below your skin’s surface which gradually decrease the appearance of sunspots, fine lines, wrinkles and acne scarring. A series of treatments may be required to achieve the desired results.

Facial Fillers

Erase Marionette lines and Plump Lips

Hoping to erase lines or folds around your mouth?Perlane and Juvederm are dermal fillers composed of Hyaluronic acid which are often used for deeper facial lines such as the Nasolabial folds (lines from the nose to the lip sometimes called smile lines) and marionette lines near the corners of the mouth. They are also used to plump lips in a nonsurgical lip augmentation.

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the human body. When we age, however, our hyaluronic acid (HA)supply depletes. This lack of HA can cause our tissues to appear deflated and wrinkled. Perlane and Juvederm injections restore lost hyaluronic acid to rejuvenate aged skin or plump lips. The effects of such fillers typically last 6 to 12 months.

For Youthful Cheeks

Unlike Juvederm and Perlane which are comprised of HA, Radiesse is an injectable filler made of tiny calcium-based microspheres which are suspended in a natural, water-based gel. These calcium based microspheres are similar to minerals that are found naturally in your body . Over time, your body absorbs these tiny microspheres and the gel and leaves behind only your own natural collagen. Radiesse is typically used to treat the cheek region of the face and lasts a year or more.

Under Eye Restoration

If you wish to restore youth under your eyes, Selphyl may be a good choice. Utilizing the platelets found in the patient’s own blood, Selphyl stimulates the body’s natural process of tissue regeneration and collagen production.

Neuromodulators: Lift Droopy Brows & Correct Frown Lines

Neuromodulators relax dynamic muscles that create wrinkles as they contract. Areas that can be treated with Botox include crow’s feet. frown lines, forehead lines, neck lines and chin dimpling. Botox can gently lift drooping brows, elongate the appearance of the chin or elevate the corners of the lips, enhancing the patient’s smile. A small amount injected in the lip border reduces the appearance of lip lines and can help the lips appear more plump.

Botox injection is the most popular nonsurgical cosmetic procedure today. Improvement of the wrinkles may last up to four to six months. Until recently, Botox was the only botulinum toxin A preparation with a cosmetic indication. Dysport, the first competitor with similar indications was approved in April 2009.

Regardless of the non-surgical procedure you wish to undergo, be sure to choose your provider wisely. Facial injection is an art form and you must choose your artist well. Review before and after photographs and make sure you have appropriate expectations for non-surgical facial enhancement before you present for facial review. Make sure that your aesthetic ideal matches that of your cosmetic surgeon injection artist.
